“Taking something imaginary and making others believe that it is real.”
The choice of words in defining acting for kids is important: “MAKING others BELIEVE.” Playing “make believe” is a natural part of childhood. In this sense children already are actors. Once they realize this they are able to approach it fearlessly.
The Young Actors Project in-school workshops excite kids about drama. The program helps kids explore their imaginations, deepen their communication skills, and build their confidence - all the while introducing them to drama in a very positive, fun and exciting way.
This program can be brought to any school in the Lower Mainland. The games and exercises are designed to keep a maximum number of kids actively involved as much as possible.
